What I Enjoy Most About Being a Solicitor in Ireland

Supporting Clients Through Challenging Times
Helping clients navigate some of the most difficult periods of their lives, providing guidance, clarity, and support while ensuring they feel heard throughout the legal process.

Investigation, Analysis & Problem Solving
Reviewing complex medical evidence, working closely with experts, and building strong cases through detailed investigation and analytical thinking.

Making a Meaningful Difference
Combining intellectually challenging work with the opportunity to achieve outcomes that can have a lasting impact on clients and their families.

Noteable Cases I have worked on in past

I have worked on a broad range of high-value and complex medical negligence claims, including cases arising from the Swine Flu/Pandemrix litigation. This litigation arose from the administration of the swine flu vaccination distributed during the 2009 – 2010 pandemic in Europe following which many children/infants were diagnosed with narcolepsy which is a lifelong and incurable disability.

My experience includes acting in severe birth injury claims involving catastrophic injuries sustained during childbirth, as well as delayed diagnosis and treatment cases where clients suffered life-changing outcomes, including limb loss as a result of untreated infection.

I have also worked on claims involving failures in mental health care, including cases where serious psychiatric illnesses were not appropriately diagnosed or managed, leading to tragic consequences for patients and their families. These cases required careful handling, sensitivity, and detailed analysis of extensive medical evidence and expert opinion.

Why I Chose to Work in Law

I chose to work in law because I was interested in problem-solving, advocacy, and helping people navigate complex situations. Medical negligence particularly appealed to me because it combines legal analysis with medicine and client-focused work. I value the opportunity to work closely with clients, investigate detailed factual and medical issues, and seek accountability where standards of care may have fallen short. It is an area of law that requires both technical ability and empathy, which is something I find very motivating and fulfilling in practice.
