Why I Chose to Work in Law

I have always felt strongly about access to justice, human rights and about doing work that is honest, reliable and trustworthy. Through my experience with organisations such as the Department of Justice and FLAC, I saw first-hand how legal information and support can make a real difference to people’s lives. That experience stayed with me and shaped the path I wanted to take.

Over time, I became especially drawn to private client work because it allows me to put my problem-solving skills to practical use while helping individuals and families directly during important, and often sensitive stages of life. What continues to motivate me is that combination of meaningful legal work, personal connection, and being able to provide solutions to people as they navigate difficult circumstances.
